Proceeds from the La Quinta Arts Festival, La Quinta Arts Foundation’s flagship fundraiser, support community outreach programs including the LQAF Visual Arts Scholarship program. To date, the program has awarded $1.278 million to launch the careers of over three hundred visual artists in the fields of studio art, photography, architecture, film, graphic design, fashion design, digital art and animation, production design and more.
La Quinta Arts Foundation’s non-profit mission is “Promoting and Cultivating the Arts.” In the past 36 years this is accomplished by:• Producing large scale visual and performing art events• Providing cultural enrichment and learning experiences to citizens and visitors of the Coachella Valley and beyond• Mentoring emerging artists to reach their full potential• Providing exhibition and sales opportunities to contemporary working artists• Teaching art history to elementary school children• Providing positive participation and self fulfillment opportunities to all • Providing visual art college scholarships totaling $1.278 million dollars• Forming and fostering meaningful partnerships within the community • Promoting the City of La Quinta as a cultural destination
