San Diego is a cool city, and it’s especially cool to check out from across the water at Coronado Island.  While it may be a bit out of budget to stay on this luxurious island, it’s certainly worth an afternoon taking in the cafes, visiting iconic Hotel del Coronado, and getting your feet wet on the beach.  You might even be able to make out the shores of Mexico when you look to the south.
