Enjoy wildlife, serenity, and natural beauty that only the Colorado River can offer on this 2-day rafting trip.

This trip offers something for everyone! Enjoy wildlife, serenity, and natural beauty that only the Colorado River can offer. You’ll have plenty of time to take in historic cabins, scenic waterfalls, and steep canyon walls towering over 100′ above your head. Bald eagles, black bears, and the endangered Colorado River otter are often seen on this fun section of the river.

After arriving at camp, you’ll have some time for hiking, fossil hunting, or just relaxing beside the river while your guides prepare a delicious and hearty dinner. If you are interested in kayaking or SUPing, please notify us while booking your trip.

Following a good night’s sleep and filling breakfast, you’ll be ready to head back out to the river for a morning of more fun and relaxation, including time in inflatable kayaks or standup paddleboards. Rapids on the Upper Colorado are Class II and great for all ages and ability levels. The minimum age for this trip is five years old. 

AVA is a Licensed River Outfitter – Issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. All or part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under a special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

The difficulty level of this trip is rated as mild. Some physical activity may be required. The minimum age for this trip is eight years old. Participants are able to request time on a kayak or standup paddleboard. A train will run along the river even at night. It is very important to wear shoes that will stay securely on your feet. Old tennis shoes, water shoes, and sandals with a heel strap are great. (No crocs or flip-flops please.)
