Embark on a thrilling 4x4 adventure to Huyliche for stunning Andes views, wildlife sightings, and a historic cattle farm visit!
From El Calafate, you will begin the ascent to the Huyliche mountain range, crossing the Cañadón del Arroyo Calafate, where you can observe local fauna such as guanacos, foxes and falcons. Continue along a winding path to the Primer Balcón, a geological point with fossils and vestiges of an ancient sea. From the 1,100 meters of the Balcones Superiores, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the Andes Mountains, the Patagonian Continental Ice and Lake Argentino.
On clear days, you can see the Fitz Roy and Torre peaks. During the descent, you'll visit the Laberinto de las Piedras, a rock formation with fossils and caves, an ideal place for photos (during the thaw or rainy season, this stop is not made). End at Estancia Huyliche, a historic establishment, where lunch, snack or dinner will be served, depending on the time.
