Part of the Portland metro area, Newberg is known by many as the gateway to Willamette Valley wine country. That said, the region is marked by vast expanses of some of Oregon’s best known vineyards. In many ways this charming area offers the best of both rural and urban. With a historic downtown featuring eclectic shops and galleries and plenty of grape growers spread out across the countryside, Newberg truly is a place that has a little something for all of its visitors. Newberg likes to boast of its small town feel, but one which also has a bit of an urban edge. With outdoor concert series, free trolley rides through the historic district, and a highly recommended First Friday Art Walk, tourists tend to fall in love with the place.

What an amazing tour. We saw whales, dolphins and porpoises. The crew was very friendly and enthusiastic. We could really tell they are very respectful towards the animals, we were able to see two humpbacks for nearly half an hour, everybody was silent, the engine was off and the crew was also in awe. Only when the whales left, the engine was back on and we also started moving again. We really felt like we had all the time in the world and we didn't disturb the animals.
