The state capital, Salem is the third largest city in Oregon. With the Willamette River running through the northern end, Salem’s charm and deeply ingrained history are undeniable. As it is located in the Willamette Valley this capital city is definitely part of wine country. From the Riverfront Walk to the historic Bush’s Pasture Park, there is a great deal to explore within the city limits. As far as the food scene in Salem, with nearly 500 restaurants, it’s safe to say you will find a great meal.

What an amazing tour. We saw whales, dolphins and porpoises. The crew was very friendly and enthusiastic. We could really tell they are very respectful towards the animals, we were able to see two humpbacks for nearly half an hour, everybody was silent, the engine was off and the crew was also in awe. Only when the whales left, the engine was back on and we also started moving again. We really felt like we had all the time in the world and we didn't disturb the animals.
