Roatán is the largest Bay Island and is located 40 miles off the northern coast of Honduras right on the edge of the second largest barrier reef in the world, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. Roatán, which is located just north of the equator, has a tropical climate and is covered in lush green jungles, mountains, and forests.
