This adventure begins at the main base where you gear up. After going through the safety instructions, start the drive through small rivers and streams to the sandy beach, which flows from the dormant volcano Katla. After a fun ride on the black beach, stop at the famous DC-3 plane wreck to adore the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the big black coast all the way to Dyrhólaey, the southernmost part of Iceland. When you have soaked in these beautiful sights, continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of Mt. Heiðarhorn.
