Your first tour is an ATV/Quad-bike ride on the black lava sands of Sólheimasandur. You will meet your guide at the Mýrdalsjökull Base Camp, where you will receive all the necessary gear and get a brief safety lesson before heading out to the black beaches on your quad bikes. Take in some fantastic views of the glaciers and vast beaches of the South Coast before visiting the famous Sólheimasandur DC3 Plane Wreck.

After the ATV tour, you must travel on your own to the Sólheimajökull Base by Sólheimajökull Glacier. You will get detailed driving instructions upon booking. Once there, you will meet your kayaking guide, who equips you with a dry suit and other necessary kayaking gear. They will also demonstrate the proper kayaking technique for your beginner-friendly sit-on-top kayak. When everyone is ready, you push away from shore and explore the majestic icebergs that have calved off the glacier.

Your guide will lead you around the lagoon to admire the glacier, its icebergs, and the steep cliffs of the surrounding mountains from a perspective that can only be seen from the lagoon. After around 90 minutes of paddling, you head back to the land.
