Egypt 1 offers a lot packed into a short approach and exit. Those with high skill levels can downclimb the entire canyon if they want which makes it fun and exciting. For beginners and those who wish to rappel, you will do three smaller rappels.
The narrows in this canyon are super fun! With unique features that keep it exciting and offer fun challenges. With competent leadership, this is a great family or beginner-friendly canyon. The downclimbs yield fairly easily to teamwork and partner catches/assists. This canyon can hold a bit of water at times after very heavy rains which makes it super fun if you like to get wet!
It begins with a small rappel which allows newcomers to get their first taste and "learn the ropes". From there, the canyon drops down into larger slot canyons with some intermediate rappels as you wind through the beautiful sandstone walls.
