The Medina and Beyond Tour

Your tour starts in front of the famous Rick's Cafe, which you may be familiar with from the classic movie Casablanca. You won't go inside, but you'll want to note where it is for a return visit later in your stay. Nearby, you'll spot the Sqala tower with canons dating back to the Portuguese era. Walk through alleyways to reach the medina, where you can browse alongside locals shopping for groceries, clothing, and daily essentials.
From here, you'll make your way by taxi and on foot to see a few architectural marvles of the city, including the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Arab League Parc, and the French Colonial-style Mohammed V Plaza, also known as Pigeon Square.
Next, make your way over to the Habous Quarter, also known as the New Medina, where you can shop for Moroccan goods such as traditional clothing, leather, jewelry, and local food, such as some impossibly delicious marinated spicy olives. You'll also visit one of the oldest and most famous local bakeries in town, Bennis Pastry House (try the chicken pastilla!).
You'll then head to a nearby local coffee shop to order coffee or Moroccan tea before taking a transfer back to the grand finale of the tour: Al Aank Observation Deck. This is a gorgeous promenade by the ocean that offers incredible views of Hassan II Mosque and of the city.
