Caye Caulker, Cayo District
Details

Your fantastic day trip to Belize starts early from Caye Caulker. From the island, you will be transferred to Belize City through this beautiful landscape via a picturesque water taxi ride.

All Maya Temples are not created equal. Altun Ha is the nearest excavated Maya Temple to Belize City and is probably the most visited by Belizean schoolchildren from all over the country. You’ll depart from Belize City to see this beautiful Maya Temple with wide-open spaces. The temples are easily climbed and are not as tall as Lamanai and Xunantunich. Want to trek an ancient site of the Maya? Touring the ruins can be done in an hour.

Once you are done, head west for a 90-minute drive toward Jaguar Paw, where you can try tubing for two hours. You will meet your tour guides, who will issue inflatable tubes, headlamps, and life vests. You’ll get a short intro and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike which includes wading through some knee-deep streams.
