Jungle Trek and Anavilhanas Archipelago
Experience the Amazon rainforest on a full-day adventure through the Anavilhanas region, combining river exploration, wildlife encounters, and immersive jungle activities. The journey begins with a 42-kilometre ground transfer along the Manoel Urbano Highway to the river embarkation point near Manaus, where guests board a motorized canoe and set out onto the Rio Negro. As the boat winds through the Anavilhanas archipelago, guests may observe native wildlife such as birds and primates in their natural habitat while taking in the vast, untouched beauty of the flooded forest landscape.
The experience continues with a guided jungle walk, where expert guides demonstrate Amazon survival techniques and share insights into the region’s ecosystem. Guests then enjoy a stop at a secluded Rio Negro river beach for a refreshing swim, followed by piranha fishing with explanations of local species and traditional methods. As the day winds down, the tour highlights a breathtaking Amazon sunset over the river before returning by boat to the dock and continuing by road back to Manaus, with arrival in the early evening.
