Arenal Hanging Bridges, Waterfall, and Volcano Hike
A 3-in-1 guided tour of the Arenal Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall, and a Volcano Hike. Then, to get to the magnificent waters of the waterfall is a 20-minute hike down 500 stairs. Don't panic- it is not as bad as it sounds. You will be with your guide and going at your own pace as you overlook the beauty of the canyon. After a nice hike and swim, you'll be served a tasty traditional lunch, cooked with local farm and organic ingredients!You will share some time at a family ranch and learn about the culture.
Start your day as you hike across the Arenal Hanging Bridges and see the jungle from high above the forest floor.
You will also have the unique opportunity to hike around an active volcano! Don't worry, it's not throwing lava anymore. The trails are generally flat and not very strenuous making it perfect for a leisurely and informative hike with a naturalist guide.
Jump into the water, explore, swim, and have a great time before getting back up on the same trail.
If you choose to not take the stairs down to the waterfall, feel free to stay up at the main facilities where there is a restaurant, bathrooms and changing rooms, and a nice observatory to look down at the waterfall.
After a homemade cup of coffee and relaxing by the sounds of the water running from the river, it is time to go back to your hotel in Arenal or La Fortuna.
