Arthur's Pass Day Tour From Christchurch via Castle Hill
This road trip on the Great Alpine Highway through the Southern Alps is a beautiful example of extreme engineering involving viaducts, bridges, rock shelters and waterfalls redirected into chutes. Arthur's Pass National Park landscape is one of two halves. On the eastern side, you will see wide, shingle-filled riverbeds and vast beech forests, and on the western side you venture through dense rainforest alongside deeply gorged rivers.
On the way you will pass through Castle Rock, where you will be able to walk through and explore the stunning rock formations and Cave Stream Scenic Reserve where there are two short walks leading to the entrance of the caves. Plus, the limestone formations nearby were the setting for the filming of 'Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!
So, hop on and be driven in comfort in a modern comfortable minibus packed with extras, just to make your journey that bit easier.
