Visiting Athens is a unique experience and by taking this tour, you will have the chance to discover the history, civilization, and beauty of this wonderful city. Admire the magnificent panorama of the city from Lycabetus Hill, then you will visit the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Propylaia, the Erechtheum, and the Temple of Athena Nike. You will also see the changing of the guards in front of the Greek parliament and the memorial of the Unknown soldier.
The next stop is at Monastiraki Square, then you will visit the trilogy of the culture (the Academy of Athens, the University, and the National Library). Follow that up with the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Panathenaic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
Finally, you will have free time in the ancient neighborhood of Athens close to the Acropolis, named Plaka. Plaka is full of people, music, typical restaurants “tavernas”, beautiful houses, cozy cafes, and little shops for souvenirs.
