About Austin Zoo Visit :

Austin Zoo is located in southwest Travis County at the edge of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Situated on 17 acres, this rescue zoo provides a home to animals in need. Austin Zoo is a private, nonprofit facility whose mission is to assist animals in need through rescue, conservation and education. Learn about their animals at their daily keeper talks, enjoy grab and go sandwiches, snack packs, desserts and ice cream novelties from the Gift Shop and ride the Rawhide Rocket Train through the Hill Country terrain. Couples are welcome to bring in their own food and drink to enjoy in their large Picnic Grove. Stop in their gift shop on your way out to buy a special remembrance of your visit.
