In San Antonio, you'll dive into local culture with a visit to the Women's Cooperative, where you'll learn why the Mayans are known as the "People of the Corn." Enjoy an interactive demonstration of traditional Mayan cooking, including grinding corn using ancient tools passed down through generations.

After the cooking demonstration, you'll discover the pottery-making techniques of the modern-day Maya and how they revived this ancient craft. This hands-on session lets you try your hand at shaping clay and creating a pot. Then, enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by the community.  Take a short drive back to town for a visit to Ajaw Chocolate. You'll delve into the rich history of chocolate and take part in crafting an authentic chocolate drink - once a delicacy reserved for the elite of the Maya civilization.
