Take in the rugged granite cliffs, colorful rock outcroppings, and stunning Rocky Mountain vistas surrounding the Arkansas River. This most popular stretch of whitewater in the USA with its class II-IV rapids and the newest 'Browns Canyon National Monument' have attracted visitors from around the world.
Note: Be sure to bring nylon shorts and a non-cotton shirt or poly propylene top (fleece top), a light water-resistant jacket, a pair of tennis shoes – tie-on preferred (NO sandals) or wet boots, wool socks, sunglasses with loss protector/keeper, sunscreen, a hat (tie-on), and a personal water bottle that can be secured (with a clip).
This trip is suitable for ages 10+ in May, July, and September. In the month of June (high water), only ages 13+ are allowed.
