You will visit the Caño Negro Wetlands, one of the most important wetlands and natural refuges in Costa Rica. This vast territory of wetlands, lagoons, rivers, and creeks constitutes an important habitat for birds, reptiles, fish, and mammals.
Your tour leaves La Fortuna at 7:30 a.m. On the way to Caño Negro, you will have the opportunity to learn about agricultural plants that Costa Rica raises such as yuca, papaya, pineapple, sugar cane, and orange.
Then you will arrive at a restaurant, where you will enjoy a drink and a snack before starting the trip by boat on Rio Frio (cold) river.
On this portion of the journey, you will see egrets, herons, monkeys, caimans, Iiguanas, bats, and a variety of flora.
At the end of the trip, a delicious Costa Rican meal will be waiting for you back at the restaurant.
