Bike on a single track trail through the forest along a river. These are the only trails for mountain biking in Costa Rica on an active volcano!  Bikers will start at 500 meters of altitude. These trails with excellent shade stay cool, and being surrounded by nature gives them ample opportunities to see wild animals such as monkeys, capuchin monkeys (or white-faced), coatis, armadillos, and peacocks.

The route takes participants to La Oropendola Waterfall, where they can go for a dip. Continue on the path in the tropical forest bordering the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, crossing several bridges, some over rivers, back to Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin.
