Dogsled Adventure
Fairbanks, Alaska

About Dogsled Adventure :

Join this scenic sled trip through the Alaskan boreal forest by dog power! Ride the sled into the forest on private trails and warm up with a hot beverage next to the fire in the geodesic dome. Learn the history and culture of dogsledding throughout the Arctic region.
You'll be introduced to the original, aboriginal sleddogs that assisted the nomadic native peoples of the north. These dogs helped the historical explorers traverse the Arctic landscapes to the South Pole and Antarctica.
Your guides will go over the gear used on simple and multi-day expeditions. They will explain the care, feeding regimes, and what it takes to successfully raise these dogs from puppyhood to successful working sleddogs. The dogs' enthusiasm is absolutely contagious!
