Details

Treat the newlyweds to nature's version of a luxury spa day! This adventure takes them deep into the southern mountains to a private reserve that feels like "Jurassic Park." The highlight of this gift is the famous Blue Clay Ritual. The couple can cover each other in mineral-rich river clay—a natural exfoliant found right at the riverbank. It’s a playful, romantic, and incredibly photogenic moment (think "Avatar" in the jungle!). Once the clay dries, they will rinse off in the crystal-clear waters at the base of a massive 150ft waterfall. The day also includes swimming in turquoise pools, optional cliff jumps, a small natural rock slide, and a delicious traditional lunch served at an open-air restaurant overlooking the river. Note for the couple: This hidden gem requires a short but steep 15-minute hike to exit the canyon (stairs involved). It is a small-group adventure that perfectly balances relaxation with a bit of active fitness.

Know Before You Go
  • Physical Level: This is a "Soft Adventure" experience. While the time at the waterfall is relaxing, the hike back up to the restaurant is steep and involves stairs (approx. 15-20 minutes uphill). Guests should have a moderate level of fitness. What to Bring: Footwear: Sturdy sandals with straps (like Chacos/Tevas) or water shoes are best. Flip-flops can be slippery on the jungle trails. Essentials: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a change of dry clothes for the ride home. Travel Time: The journey to the private reserve is part of the adventure! It is a scenic 1.5-hour drive each way through the mountains, offering incredible views of the coastline and rural Costa Rican villages.
