Explore Cabo Catoche: A Private Journey to See Nature's Best
An adventure that you will remember the rest of your life Fish and swim at the exact junction where two seas meet: Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.
Your adventure begins at the Whale Shark pier, where you'll set sail toward the northern area of Cabo Catoche, where you can encounter dolphins and other sea creatures along the way. Your expert captain and guides will choose the best fishing spot, teaching you the ancient techniques of bottom fishing (with strings, no rods). You'll have the chance to catch good-sized fish, which will be prepared into delicious ceviche right on the boat.
After fishing, you'll head to the Cuevones, a two-meter-deep area perfect for swimming and snorkeling, where you can explore schools of fish, soft corals, and possibly spot cat sharks, hawksbill turtles, octopuses, and lobsters.
The final stop is at a secluded beach, where you can relax while the day's catch is transformed into a fresh ceviche feast. Depending on the tide, you'll return through the mangroves back to Holbox, completing your adventure.
Please note: Encountering dolphins and other marine creatures during your journey to Cabo Catoche is something that is not guaranteed. It will largely depend on the weather and sea conditions. Nature reveals its wonders on its own terms, and it doesn't work for company. Please keep this in mind.
