Grand Golden Circle and Whale Watching Tour
Experience Iceland’s marine life and iconic landscapes on this full-day adventure from Reykjavík. Begin with a whale watching tour in Faxaflói Bay, where the nutrient-rich waters attract minke and humpback whales, as well as occasional dolphins or harbor porpoises. Board a vessel with indoor seating and open-air viewing decks, with blankets and protective overalls provided for comfort in cold and windy conditions.
After returning to port, continue to the Golden Circle, starting at Thingvellir National Park. Explore the UNESCO-listed site, including Álmannagjá gorge where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet, and learn about the historic Althing parliament established in 930 AD.
Next, visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadal Valley. Watch Strokkur erupt every few minutes, sending boiling water 30 meters into the air, and explore surrounding hot springs and mud pools. Conclude at Gullfoss, a stunning waterfall where the Ólfusá River cascades in multiple levels.
