This experience is an excellent introduction to sea kayaking in the San Juans, and only 20 minutes away from Bellingham, WA. Participants will receive “hands-on” instruction to acquaint beginners with safety procedures and equipment. This three-hour day has two to three hours of on-the-water paddling and exploration.  

Enjoy the views on the water, explore the coastline, and learn about the plants, animals, and history of the Salish Sea. If time allows, paddlers can stretch their legs on a Nature Conservancy protected island in the bay or on a beautiful beach along the way, paddle the cove, and explore the intricate geology and wildlife!
