River Adventure Half-Day Tour

This tour starts with an exciting tubing adventure. Enjoy non-stop fun and excitement bouncing and splashing down five km (three miles) of class II and III rapids along this narrow, rushing river of crystal clear water. There are plenty of quiet pools along the way to appreciate the beautiful tropical scenery of the Rio Negro (Black River). Use special, individual river tube rafts that are designed with handles and protective bottoms. Guides go with couples and ensure their safety. After that, participants will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at La Hacienda restaurant.

Finally, relax into the volcanic hot springs at Hacienda Guachipelin which bubble up on the Rio Negro, naturally heated by the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano – the largest and most active volcano in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Participants use hot volcanic mud which allows them to have a spa-like treatment on their entire body.

Please take into consideration that the required minimum age is eight years old and must be at least 140 cm to be able to take the tour. Be sure to bring shorts, swimsuit, insect repellent, change of clothes, waterproof sunscreen, and sneakers of water shoes.
