Half-Day Tour to Fátima
Explore the Fátima phenomenon starting at the shepherds' houses in Aljustrel, then visit the Sanctuary with its chapel and basilicas.
The Fátima phenomenon is bigger than the town and the country and you start the journey by visiting the three shepherds' houses at the town of Aljustrel, four kilometers away from the Sanctuary. Those were the family residences of Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco, the three shepherds who witnessed the apparitions of the virgin in 1917.
Heading next to the Sanctuary where there is a lot to visit, mainly the Little Chapel of the apparitions, built at the exact place where the apparitions took place, and two Basilicas: Our Lady of the Rosary, as the shepherds' thumbs inside, and the Holy Trinity Basilica, one of the biggest catholic temples in the whole world. At the sanctuary, you will have free time to explore the religious site, including witnessing the mass and visiting the different religious buildings that are part of the sanctuary.
A unique journey through the faith and history of one of the most famous places in Portugal. An incredible pilgrimage.
