This adventure begins with a short drive from downtown Juneau to a private heliport on Douglas Island. Guests are outfitted with glacier overboots, wind- and rain-protective pants, and a flotation device. A professional safety briefing is provided before boarding the A-Star helicopter.
The pilot will choose a scenic route over the lush Tongass National Rainforest and dramatic mountains. Once on the glacier, enjoy a guided 30-minute exploration of its surface with ample photo opportunities. Afterward, return via a scenic flight to the heliport and then by van to the original pick-up point.
