Details

From fairy-tale castles to dramatic northern sea cliffs, this full-day tour showcases some of the most spectacular highlights of Scotland’s world-famous North Coast 500. Departing from Inverness, the journey begins with a visit to Dunrobin Castle, a magnificent 19th-century estate once home to the Dukes of Sutherland, where guests can explore elegant interiors and beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Moray Firth.

The route continues north through rugged Highland scenery with a lunch stop in the charming village of Brora before reaching John O’Groats, one of Scotland’s most iconic northern landmarks. Nearby, Duncansby Head offers breathtaking views of towering sea stacks and dramatic cliffs, with opportunities to spot seabirds and local wildlife along the coastline. On the return journey, the tour pauses in the picturesque fishing port of Helmsdale before heading back to Inverness in the evening, completing a day filled with coastal beauty, wildlife encounters, and rich Scottish heritage.
