Lamanai Maya Temple Tour

An early departure from San Ignacio is required for this two hour scenic drive through Belize's countryside as you head north toward Orange Walk District. You will be transported in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the boat dock located on the shores of the New River in Orange Walk Town.
You will arrive in Orange Walk Town where you will board your boat as you embark on an adventure up the New River. Along the New River bank, your guide will highlight an array of diverse flora and fauna such as the spider monkeys, crocodiles, a variety of birds, and so much more.
Your guide will give you detailed information on the historic significance of each area, and you will get the opportunity to climb up the High Temple via the original stairway built by the Mayas, and get a spectacular panoramic view of the lagoon and the surrounding jungle. This tour is followed by a traditional Belizean lunch.
