The city tour will start in Plaza San Martin for a quick photoshoot of the surroundings. Then, head towards the iconic San Francisco Monastery, famed for its beautiful baroque architecture and intricate tile work. You will have the chance to explore the eerie underground catacombs, a labyrinth filled with the remains of Lima's colonial inhabitants.
Next, visit the heart of Lima's colonial past: the Plaza de Armas. Here, you'll admire colonial buildings such as the Government Palace and the historic Lima Cathedral, home to the tomb of Francisco Pizarro, the founder of Lima. As you walk through historic streets, your guide will highlight other landmarks, offering insights into Lima's blend of colonial and modern influences. As you go back to Miraflores/Barranco, you'll pass by the impressive Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pre-Incan pyramid, as well as Parque del Amor with amazing views over the Pacific Ocean.
