Starting with early disasters, hear ghost stories collected, from fiery deaths to those in the waters of nearby river; from self-inflicted to deaths brought by the state or a rich man’s guilt. The route takes you through the inner eastside, where more of Portland’s disasters have happened than any other part of the city and where many early settlers are buried.
You will end with a visit to one of the sweetest streets, SE 28th Avenue, for ice cream (if desired) to take the chills to a less spiritual place.
