Manatee Snorkel and Swim
Swimming with manatees in their own natural habitat is on the national bucket list of things to do, everyone should do it at least once. You will snorkel in a wildlife refuge made up of about 70 Florida springs, which shelters many species of bird, fish, turtles, and you may see occasional dolphin sightings. This classic semi-private excursion is never crowded with only 6 guests per boat and is great for beginner to advance snorkelers.
Upon arrival you will be greeted with a smile and welcomed to the facility. After check in staff will direct you to the Wild Life Education room, so that you may complete your required prep work. You will learn about Manatees and be given a briefing on that day's adventure and answer any questions you may have. After a 5 minute journey you will board one of the vessels and meet your crew. This year-round snorkeling adventure includes an in water swim guide and U.S. Certified Coast Guard Captain, mask, snorkel, and wet suit.
Seadaddys Crystal River Manatee Tours and Dive center cares deeply about the health and well-being of the manatees, and the rest of the wildlife. Not all providers make the extra efforts that are required to do things sustainably, and with nature in mind.
Note: Swimmers are required to wear a wetsuit, which is provided. Peak season is from winter to spring but they can be seen year-round.
