Meteora Day Trip from Athens
Explore the UNESCO-listed Meteora monasteries on a full-day guided trip from Athens, featuring an audio guide for the monasteries and the bus journey. Depart from Athens railway station by bus to Kalambaka, with an audio tour on your phone to learn historical information en route. On arrival, meet your guide holding a signboard with your name and head to the monasteries to visit three of them and the hermit caves of Badovas.
Enjoy free time to delve into the monasteries' history and anecdotes with your audio guide. After exploring, return to Kalambaka for a light lunch (not included), then depart back to Athens. Note that due to train service disruptions from a flood, your transfer is by air-conditioned bus, offering a quicker, scenic journey through Greece's countryside. Arrive back in Athens in the evening.
