Journey through the Alentejo region to explore the historic medieval village of Monsaraz. This private guided tour begins at Giraldo Square Fountain, where a driver and guide lead the way to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Portugal. Guests will overlook the Guadiana River and the Alqueva dam, which forms the largest artificial lake in Europe.
The itinerary includes a visit to a mysterious prehistoric megalithic structure, the Xerez Cromlech, and the ancient Lover’s Stone. Throughout the experience, couples will learn about the legacy of the Templar Knights, Arabian heritage, and local urban history.
The excursion concludes with a visit to the largest pottery center in Portugal, S. Pedro do Corval. Here, guests can observe traditional handicrafts and ceramic patrimony that have been part of Portuguese culture since prehistoric times. Participants are transported in a vehicle legally qualified for passenger transport.
