Mt Wellington Ultimate Morning
On this tour, you will start by passing Anglesea Barracks, Australia's oldest Army facility. On a clear day, the views from Mt Wellington are stunning. In the winter, you might find yourself playing in the snow. Regardless of the weather, it's a great opportunity to visit the iconic Mt Wellington, which is known by its traditional indigenous name, kunanyi, in the Palawa Kani language. As you journey, you will pass through various eco-systems and experience the harsh alpine environment of the mountain. You will stop halfway at The Springs, where there is an option to purchase a hot drink, subject to availability. From there, you can enjoy a short, easy walk around the Exhibition Garden Circuit and view the impressive rock formation of the Organ Pipes. At the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, the harsh, rocky alpine environment provides unsurpassed views on a clear day. You will have a short guided walk to the observatory at the summit, where you can take in a panoramic spectacle of Hobart, its surrounding suburbs, and the vast waterways of the Derwent River. After descending the mountain, you will visit Cascade Brewery, where you will have the chance to take photos and explore the gardens.
