Open Boat Signature Whale Watching Tour
Enjoy a whale-watching adventure on the Salish Sea, observing marine life up close with expert insights.
Step aboard Cascadia or Keta, 30-foot open-air vessels designed to give you unobstructed views of the whales and other marine life. After checking in 45 minutes before departure, you'll be fitted with an anti-exposure suit to keep warm and protected from the elements.
Then, follow your Marine Naturalist to the dock where the adventure begins, cruising through the stunning Salish Sea. As the journey unfolds, your marine naturalist will guide you through the unique coastal ecosystem, sharing insights about the region's wildlife, including whales and their roles in the marine food web. Spend about an hour observing whales, with real-time information on their unique identification and behaviors.
The tour concludes with an educational discussion on marine conservation, highlighting BC whales and ongoing preservation efforts. There is a high success of finding whales (over 95%!), but if you don't see one, you will receive a voucher (non-transferable) to try again for free!
