Pat Conroy moved to Beaufort when he was 15, his father "The Great Santini" being a pilot in the Marine Corps. See houses where Pat lived when he wrote his early novels, movie locations from The Prince of Tides and Great Santini, and hear stories of Pat's life as a Beaufortonian. As an option, participants can be dropped off at The Pat Conroy Literary Center at the end of the tour, open Thursday through Sunday, 12-4. The carts are equipped with seatbelts.
