Prainha and Grumari Beaches: Hike and Swim
Rio is known for its beautiful and amazing beaches and on this tour, you get to the best of it. You'll visit the most beautiful and untouched beaches of Rio: Prainha and Grumari, considered by many, wild beaches. You'll drive along the coastline heading the West side of Rio, passing by beaches that you have likely never heard about (São Conrado, Barra, Reserva, Recreio, and Macumba).
Your first stop is at Prainha, a secluded and beautiful small beach. Prainha is the best surf spot in Rio and is also a protected area with a beach surrounded by green mountains. This is where you'll do a 1.5-hour hike in the tropical rainforest reaching an incredible view at Caeté Belvedere, 624 feet above sea level.
After the hike, you'll be taken on a five-minute drive to Grumari Beach, another secluded, untouched, and protected beach. At Grumari, you'll have plenty of time (around three hours) to enjoy all the lush of a beach inside a protected tropical rainforest, with green all around, clear waters, and fine white sands. Swim, get a tan, and enjoy one of Rio's best wild beaches.
