North Cascades Summit Climb
Sahale Peak stands at the head of Cascade Pass and the impressive Stehekin Valley. The climb presents a moderate challenge and is situated among other classic peaks of the North Cascades National Park. NW Alpine Guides guided ascent climbs the steep Quien Sabe Glacier to the Boston Sahale Col and traverses the final exposed rock and snow ridge to the summit. The views from the summit are amazing with a 360 degree panorama of the Cascade Range. You have the option of descending the route or traversing the peak to Sahale Arm and Cascade Pass. On the approach, climb steeply through heavy timber crossing a number of streams which eventually give way to the beautiful alpine basin known as Boston Basin. The ascent provides adequate time to summit and your professional guides will introduce the basic mountaineering skills necessary to make the climb.
