Rainforest, Waterfall, and Movie Sites Hike
This Oahu waterfalls hiking tour includes a shuttle from your Waikiki hotel to the Rainforest with round-trip service. The driver provides you with a bottle of water and some bug spray. The beginning of the trail crosses over a footbridge and then crosses a small stream through a grove of Eucalyptus trees, the trail gradually ascends through a lush rainforest ending at a viewing area set back from the base of the falls. This hike is located in a beautiful lush valley and hikers may often experience rainy weather. The trail is not paved but is covered in stones. Some parts might get a little muddy or slippery, adding extra excitement to your adventure, but don't worry! Walking sticks are provided for extra support. Ponchos are also available for purchase with your driver. Expect some sections with stairs and a few parts where you have to climb up over boulders. You can wear sneakers and comfortable clothes that you wouldn't mind getting muddy. Even though it looks inviting, it is not recommended to swim in it because of the many risks of rock sliding/falling, which have occurred in this area. Note: This waterfalls self-guided hiking tour from Waikiki goes rain or shine. This hike is not recommended for ages older than 65, younger than 3, or for persons with disabilities. Unfortunately, if the shuttle doesn't meet its required number of guests it will NOT operate. You will be contacted as soon as possible if that is the case. If you do not need the shuttle please do not make a reservation. The hiking distance is two miles and rated as moderate difficulty.
Another factor that makes the Falls trail a favorite hiking destination for many, is the 150-ft. (46 m) waterfall that awaits after a relatively easy 45-minute walk up the mountain! The water cascades down from the mountain into a small pool at the end of the waterfall, creating a perfect background for pictures!
An incredible adventure with shuttle service through the Valley to the awe-inspiring Manoa Falls.
