River Relics Kayak Tour
The rugged Wolastoq (Saint John River) shoreline echoes with the ghosts of "River Relics". Paddle an ice-aged river rerouted 15,000 years ago by receding glaciers to its Bay of Fundy terminus through the rock ridges at the Reversing Falls rapids. Experience the ruins of a Limestone quarry dating back to the 18th century with 850+ million-year-old marble. Photo opportunities abound as you pause to learn about the first Precambrian fossils recorded in scientific literature and the story of a historic lighthouse. Keep an eye open for local wildlife including Bald Eagles, Sturgeon, Great Blue Heron, and even the occasional Harbour Seal.
