Explore the iconic Samaria Gorge on a journey along Crete’s northern coastline and through the rugged White Mountains to the Omalos Plateau. Established as a National Park in 1962, the gorge is the last natural refuge for the endangered Cretan goat species, Kri-Kri. The day begins with an early morning hotel pickup and a comfortable coach ride to the Omalos Plateau, where a brief stop allows travelers to stretch and prepare for the hike.

The 17-kilometer trail starts at an elevation of 1,200 meters, winding through lush vegetation and towering rock walls, including the dramatic "Iron Gates." Along the route, natural springs provide refreshing water stops. The hike concludes at the Libyan Sea in Ayia Roumeli, where visitors can enjoy a swim or relax at local taverns before boarding a ferry to Chora Sfakion. From there, a bus returns guests to their hotel, completing a full day immersed in Crete’s natural beauty and striking landscapes.
