Santiago Island Tour
A full-day authentic excursion which allows you to visit and discover the amazing places around the island.
You'll be picked up in the morning and taken to the interior of Santiago island. Then, you'll head to Sao Domingos City to visit a small garden called “Eco Centro,” a perfect place for fauna and flora lovers. Next, a short stop at Orgaos and Picos City to admire two impressive mountains which are the symbol of those cities. Moving on to Assomada City which has a lot of tourist attractions to be visited such as its two famous markets and a museum.
Your next stop is Boa Entrada Village to meet the biggest and oldest tree (Kapok tree) in Cabo Verde which is more than 700 years old. Head to Serra Malagueta Natural Park - the view there is incredible due to its altitude (1000 meters). Your tour continues to the tourist town of Tarrafal City. It has the most beautiful beach on the island with beautiful white sand. Then, head on to the wonderful east coast, stopping at the Village of Rabelados which is the area where rebels resisted the Portuguese colonizer in 1941. The last stop is at the largest banana plantation on the island.
