Taku Glacier Helicopter and Airboat Adventure
This tour lets you explore remote Alaska by helicopter, airboat, and foot! After a van shuttle from your pick-up point to the Douglas Island base, you'll be fitted with glacier overboots, rain pants, and a flotation device, then briefed before boarding the helicopter. Fly to Taku Point with views of the Juneau Icefield and Tongass National Forest, and keep an eye out for calving glaciers and local wildlife.
The boat is covered, with open sides for the best possible views and photo opportunities. During your airboat adventure on the river, experience up-close views of the Taku Glacier as you cruise its five-mile terminus.
Once back at Taku Point, you'll rejoin your pilot who will fly you up to the Juneau Icefield for your glacier landing. You will have approximately 10 minutes on the ice for photo opportunities.
