The Signature Highland Coos and Alpacas
Enjoy an unforgettable, hands-on encounter with friendly Highland cows and alpacas on a working Scottish farm. Travel by Land Rover Defender into the heart of the farm, where you’ll spend most of your visit in the cows’ field, meeting, photographing, and grooming the Highland cows that choose to approach. With a small group of just four to six visitors, this relaxed experience offers plenty of time to interact with the animals, ask questions, and learn about their individual personalities directly from the experienced farming team. You’ll also hand-feed the friendly alpacas and may even meet Hector, the Highland bull, when available.
Discover authentic farm life, enjoy fantastic photo opportunities, and experience these magnificent animals up close without the crowds. The experience includes a welcome and safety briefing, a guided farm journey, and a return trip to the farmyard by Land Rover Defender. Newton Farm Holidays and Tours was named Scotland’s Best Outdoor or Adventure Experience at the 2025 VisitScotland Thistle Awards.
