Details

Step into the world of Japanese martial arts with an authentic karate experience at a modern dojo in Tokyo’s Shimo neighborhood. Designed with traditional elements, including a kamidana shrine, the dojo provides a peaceful setting to learn the fundamentals of karate while discovering the culture and discipline behind this iconic practice. Perfect for beginners, the session is led by an English-speaking instructor with over 30 years of experience, guiding participants through essential movements, etiquette, and the meaning behind each technique.

During the class, participants can wear a traditional karate uniform, practice basic skills, and capture memorable photos of their training experience. After the session, unwind at the nearby traditional standing-style sake bar, where guests can enjoy a drink and connect with the instructor in a relaxed atmosphere. Combining martial arts, history, and local culture, this experience offers a unique way to discover an authentic side of Tokyo.
