You will observe and learn about the Flora and Fauna of the Tortuguero National Park, plus all the details of the Park's natural history and its surroundings, explained by a naturalist as your guide.
Once under the forest's canopy, you will learn about how nature works, and get a real feel of the tropical humid rainforest. Tortuguero is one of the most important nesting sites of Chelonia Midas, the green sea turtle, and its forests and waterways are home to endangered mammals such as sloths, monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis, and manatees.
There are also abundant birds, such as toucans, trogons, egrets, herons, and anhingas, as well as crocodiles, turtles, and countless colorful butterflies, including blue morpho. Your guides will also point out and explain the various species of plant and animal life, truly bringing the forest to life.
