Venture to the east coast at night on a two-hour drive to North East coast beach on the Atlantic Sea. In conjunction with an authorized local turtle protection group, walk along the sandy shores and spot the giant Leatherback Turtles. Watch as these creatures climb out of the ocean to lay their eggs under the moonlight and observe the giant female Leatherback Turtles during their annual egg-laying ritual. These rare animals are a sight to behold! Learn about this seasonal occurrence and participants might also be lucky to see the hatchlings. Experience this amazing beach and ancient creatures by night. Basic covered waiting areas and restrooms are provided. The best time to view the turtles is April  through July.

Be sure to bring comfortable clothing, walking shoes (sneakers recommended), a light jacket, and rain gear as a precaution. Photos are only available during the laying phase, no flashlights allowed.
